Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, the billion-dollar juggernaut that has dominated the cultural calendar this year, may be on a break before picking up internationally, but its momentum will only rest so long: The show is coming to movie theaters this fall.

“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” concert film will be released in the United States, Canada and Mexico on Oct. 13, Swift announced on social media Thursday, with U.S. AMC Theaters promising at least four showtimes per day from Thursday to Sunday upon opening.

“The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon,” Swift said. “Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged.”

Ruby Franke, the mother behind the defunct family YouTube channel 8 Passengers, was arrested on two counts of aggravated child abuse Wednesday after police found a malnourished child with open wounds and duct tape on their extremities.

Franke was arrested alongside her business partner and collaborator, Jodi Hildebrandt, who is the founder of the controversial life counseling organization ConneXions. The two women create advice videos that critics say promote a harsh style of parenting.

Franke has come under fire in the past for her now-deleted parenting vlogs. Viewers have accused Franke and her husband, Kevin, of being abusive for years.

College football lends itself to the existential. No sport is more given to having its fans, coaches, administrators, and media commentators warn that this next thing will be the domino that somehow topples the whole sport. The list of things that were poised to kill college football and didn't is long and exhausting, but the sport has made it for 153 years and may well have another 153 in it. The emotional draw of this sport done right is too strong a stimulant for the whole thing to ever go belly-up. Incompetent or arrogant people in suits won't make your tailgate group stop getting together on Saturday mornings or take the trumpets away from the marching band..

But these are treacherous times. It's been clear for a few years that the traditional order of the sport is collapsing. Some of that is good: Players can make money now, though the administrative scheme their schools have set up at the NCAA still complicates the process and limits their earning power. Most of the time now, players can transfer schools freely without having to sit out a year. And the players are still great, but not so flawless that the game looks sterilized.
